Problem: Text to the right of the cursor “disappears” while typing.

Solution: The Insert key for some/many keyboards functions as a toggle between “insert” and “over-type” functions. If when you are typing into a cell and the characters to the right of your cursor are erased as you type into the cell, press the Insert key to revert back to normal typing mode.
